The Paddy Field

Paddy field

A favourite amongst expats living in Guangzhou, The Paddy Field is the one and only Irish bar in the city. It serves most kinds of imported beers (Guinness, of course, being available), as well as a good meal selection. Imported beers are expensive (around 50 for a Guinness), although food is reasonably priced.

Like most Irish pubs, the décor is dark and traditional, with reading matter and bar games. As the focus for a lot of expats, The Paddy Field often holds special events and live music.

English, as you would expect, is widely spoken.

The following events regularly run here:

  • Jammin' Tuesday - Tuesday 20:00

Chris and Rob play rock classics

  • Salsa Night - Thursday 20:00

    Salsa dancing with frozen margaritas

  • Sunday Roast - Sunday 11:30

A full Sunday Roast including roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, and roast potatoes. Live Irish music starts at 2pm.
