Tian He Sports Centre
Occupying pride of place in front of CITIC Plaza, Tian He Sports Centre is a large and well-equipped sports stadium.
Built in 1987 it was the first stadium of it's kind in China and has hosted many sporting events, including the 6th and 9th National Games of China. Since then several modifications have been made and it can now host the following sports:

- Basketball
- Tennis
- Bowling
- Football
- Golf
- Badminton
- Table tennis
- Baseball
- Croquet
- Snooker
- Swimming
- Bodybuilding and aerobics
- Martial arts
Around the sports centre are many sporting shops and this is the best place in Guangzhou to find sporting equipment, with shops serving almost every requirement from golf to diving.
