Want to learn Chinese? New Concept Mandarin are the premier Chinese language learning centre in Guangzhou, and serve a good chunk of the expat community. As well as providing extensive course options, they are very active, both on the internet and publicly.

Courses are more expensive than most, but it may be what is required to crack the tough Chinese language. They have learning centres in several other cities across China, as well as Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, and Philippines.

The Guangzhou Grace Academy is a school using the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum that attempts to create a tailored course of study unique for each student.

The American International School of Guangzhou is aimed at providing an international curriculum to expatriate children, from pre-school through to grade 12, living in Guangzhou.

Grades 1 to 12 are taught in the lovely Ersha Island campus, and pre-school children are taught in a Tianhe school.

One of the newest additions to Guangzhou's international schools is the British School Of Guangzhou, which is aims to provide a full British education with native English speakers. It is registered with the Qualification and Curriculum Authority in the UK and is fully licensed by the Chinese authorities.

The school was started in 2005 after a lot of success in Beijing, and will move to a brand-new purpose built school in 2007.
