Hi Mahesh! I am from Shantou, so I am very happy to reply your post. However, I got the direct bus number back home ( I am travelling now) If you don't mind, I will reply you after 19th March.

However,

Option one: you can have a direct fly from HK to Shantou, it cost around 1000HKD, takes 45 minutes.
Option two: you can go to Shenzhen Port (huang gang), then find a direct coach to Shantou. (it is very frequent line) It cost 40HKD by tube + 150RMB to Shantou. It takes 30 minutes by tube + 4 hours on bus.
Option three: take the HK airport coach to Guangzhou, then take the airplane from to Shantou. Bus 200HKD (take 3 hours) travel to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport fly to Shantou 680-780 RMB (takes 45 minutes)

Normally I takes the coach from HK airport direct to Shantou. 250HKD takes 4 hours. (If you are urgent, when you arrived HK airport, ask the bus couch services and see which one is going to Shantou directly.)

Actually, Singapore passport holders do NOT require a visa to enter
China for leisure. You are allowed to stay for a maximum of 15
days. You get 90 days for Hong Kong.

Hi nelly, I have been to HK a few times and let me tell you that
the transport system is incredible. Also the people are very
friendly and you will never get lost. I booked my ticket from HK to
Guangzhou East station from here in South Africa adn got to the
station an hour before time and had the most pleasant journey. Just
one thing, when you reach Guangzhou East station, do not take the
taxi's on the sidelines. Fisrtly, it could be dangerous and
secondly it is defiently more expensive than the real taxi's. Just
follow the queue. It moves pretty fast and the cab drivers are also
very friendly. All in all you will have a time of your life, so
enjoy. Best regards. Sanjay Kandhai
